Join us for a night of drinks and good company on May 30th in NYC
Often the common denominator for success (or lack thereof) in young athletes from lower socioeconomic backgrounds comes down to not talent or ability, but access. The means to access the camp of the university recruiting them, the access to quality SAT prep work, or in our case, the access to trials at pro clubs. You see, for a pro or semi pro club in Europe, it’s rarely justifiable to incur the expenses (airfare, lodging, meals) to bring a player in on trial with 0 professional playing experience. Therefore, despite their talents, some of our young players will never receive access to showcase themselves to professional clubs. With that in mind, The Fussball Project has taken upon ourselves to create access. One of the ways we enable this access is through our Fussball Project Cocktail Hour Fundraiser.
What: Cocktail Hour + short film screening by our good Friends at COPA 90 documenting a day in the life of a Fussball Project Athlete looking to breakthrough to the professional ranks
When: Thursday May 30th, 6pm
Where: 28 Liberty St event space (next to entrance of Manhatta Restaurant)
Cost: Open Bar $39 in advance/$55 at the door (100% proceeds go to assisting our young athletes)
*Cocktail attire encouraged*
